A dynamic fusion of live music and theatre drawing on the songs, poetry and life of the iconic singer, song writer, poet, novelist, artist and photographer, Patti Smith.  Smith has been called "the only major surviving link from the beat era to the '70s Manhattan art scene to the birth of punk to the present."

PATTI SMITH: DREAM OF LIFE  is devised and directed by Ernie Glass, a former drama teacher and director in Canberra and Bright. Now living in Paynesville, Ernie has assembled an amazing collection of performers, including four vastly experienced local musicians – Ian Richardson (guitar), Phil Spona (bass), Rod Campbell (keyboard) and Brendan Campbell (drums).  Fronting the band and lighting up the stage with their captivating characterisations of Patti Smith, are Tracy Hamilton (songs) and Priscilla Armstrong (dialogue), both renowned and multifaceted performers from North-East Victoria.

PART 1 of the evening features songs of Dire Straits and Talking Heads.
